FIELD 12 - The TURF

The girls lacrosse academy at Cedar Lane will offer instruction to players who are committed to excelling in lacrosse.  The academy will focus on individual skills, team concepts  and understanding the game of lacrosse.  Through a unique progression of individual skill drills, the academy will challenge each player to become better and build confidence in each player's ability.  The individual skills will be taught in a way that the athlete understands the how and why of each skill, therefore helping each athlete understand the game!

Each session of the Academy will progress by teaching each player to understand her individual strengths and the areas that need improvement.  Once these are identified, the athlete will be taught how to adapt her individual strengths into a team situation and balancing when and how to move with and without the ball (timing and spacing).

Each player will be taught the proper skills and techniques necessary to succeed in the game of lacrosse!

The Academy welcomes players of various skill levels.  Players will be grouped according to ability so that each player is effectively challenged.  Players will be evaluated on the first night and placed into the proper training group.

At the conclusion of each program, players will be given a personal evaluation from a member of the coaching staff.
